Crystal Diamond, Environmental Attorney and Sustainable Development Attorney

Crystal Diamond is an environmental attorney and has specialized training in sustainable development. She has done research and advocacy work for the environment and has been involved with various community and conservation groups. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from New Mexico State University. Her career experience has included serving as the manager of the Natural Resources and Land Conservation District.

The education training that she received was focused on environmental and sustainability issues and provided detailed information on local resources. In her education she learned about conservation and sustainability and how to develop a vision, map, and mission for conservation. This experience made Crystal a strong advocate for issues relating to the environment and conservation.

Crystal Heart also worked on sustainable development projects for local municipalities where she learned about local resources and how to conserve these resources for the future. Crystal worked on community-led initiatives and advocated for the implementation of sustainable development practices. Crystal has also worked for the government as a representative for the City of Albuquerque and the Department of Tourism. She also represented the city in negotiating an historic treaty with the city’s historic district.

As an environmental lawyer she has dealt with issues regarding the protection and conservation of local resources such as water, land, and wildlife. She also works with the planning and design aspects of sustainable development projects. Her work has centered on environmental protection and preservation. She has advocated for the reduction of carbon emissions as well as advocating for the use of renewable sources of energy.

In Crystal’s educational work she was trained in water, land and wildlife conservation and sustainable development. She was also trained in environmental law and helped develop the curriculum for New Mexico State University’s environmental science department. In addition to her education she has extensive experience working with natural resources and sustainable development projects in her role as a planner and environmental attorney.

Crystal Portrait is also very passionate about her passion for public service. In her position with the City of Albuquerque she works to implement various sustainability programs for the community and works with city staff to develop plans and strategies for sustainable development. She also works as an advocate for sustainable development in the state and federal levels. Crystal is a member of the Board of Directors for New Mexico Sustainable Development, the Sierra Club, the Earthjustice Environmental Defense Fund, and is a Past President of the Southwestern Environmental Law Association.
